Job Summary/Basic Functions
Provide management of capital construction and maintenance projects on campus.
A minimum of 4 years professional experience is required in the practice of architecture, engineering, construction management of directly related fields with specific experience in managing construction projects. 6 months on-the-job training is recommended for this position to learn the specific operations and procedures. A license in architecture or engineering is not required, however it would be considered a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Proven track record of successful budget and expenditure management.
Familiarity with basic computer programs such as Word, Excel and project management software, PC experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to bring projects to completion within budget, on schedule, meeting high quality standards and to satisfy multiple client groups with divergent interests.
Demonstrated familiarity with applicable codes and regulations, including UBC, NFPA, and ADA.

Salary and Benefits
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits available include health, life, and dental insurance, as well as a selection of several defined contribution retirement programs. Dependents and spouses of UNC Employees who are employed as 0.5FTE or above are entitled to and eligible for Dependent Tuition Grants. These tuition grants will cover in-state tuition charges. Further requirements may exist. Other benefits may be available based on position.
