Job Summary

The Project EH&S (Environment, Health, & Safety) Coordinator is a field position which assists in the overall supervision and administration of project safety programs, including monitoring of daily construction operations for potential safety issues, conduct new hire orientations, safety audits and meetings, as required. The Project EH&S Coordinator is capable of managing less complex projects valued between $10 and $30 million or working with the Project EH&S Manager to manage larger, more complex projects.

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

Promote, practice and demonstrate all aspects of Incident & Injury Free. Promotes safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance all local, state, federal OSHA and owner/ contractual regulations as well as Lend Lease requirements /. Assist Project EH&S managers and project management/supervisory personnel in adhering to company EH&S policies and controlling hazardous working conditions. Assist in development, supervision and coordination of project EH&S program including emergency action procedures, pre-task planning and job hazard analysis process, and provides related training. Participate in developing and conducting staff and craft safety orientation training program. Conduct project safety audits per company policy and provide reports to project staff and contractors for corrective action. Participate in the investigation and documentation of all incidents, safety violations, and unsafe conditions/activities. Accompany OSHA compliance officers and insurance inspectors and manage on-site audits as required. Provide safety and environmental training for all Lend Lease employees and monitor contractor compliance with OSHA and Lend Lease requirements. Assist project team in EH&S portion of project meetings, including pre-task planning with contractors, toolbox talks, etc. Implement and manage project safety incentive programs. Complete required training courses, annually. Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
