Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate North America produces chocolate and compound coatings, blocks, chips and wafers in milk and dark varieties, as well as other flavors and colors. Based in Pennsylvania with four production facilities in the United States and Canada, it also markets North America cocoa powders and butters created by Cargill businesses in Brazil, Netherlands, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana and France, and Cargill chocolate products made in Belgium. Customers include food manufacturers, retail confectioners, and companies in the bakery, dairy and grocery industries. Products are sold under the Gerkens® cocoa powder, Wilbur®, Peter's® and Veliche® chocolate brand names.
The Project Engineer II position will contribute to the design, construction and start-up of capital projects in
50% - Develop project plans, detailed designs, schedules, budgets, bid package development, and return on investment analysis. Work with consulting engineering firms as needed.
30% - Project management, insuring adherence with safety requirements, schedule, and capital budget.
20% - Manage all phases of various sized projects (front-end loading, design, installation and construction, commissioning and start-up support to operations).
B.S. in Engineering
Minimum of 3+ years project experience or production management in a food plant environment
Knowledge of OSHA Regulations and Construction Management
Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, with ability to lead/manage multiple projects
Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
Reasonable proficiency creating drawings w/AutoCAD
Self-starter with strong leadership skills
Effective time and project management skills
Interact with customers and vendors through the phases of design and manufacturing process
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
Basic knowledge of chocolate confectionary production equipment
Experience with 3D CAD
Experience with plant automation
