Cargill Meat Solutions is seeking a
Springdale, AR Complex (Offices in Gentry, AR)
This role is responsible for developing and managing engineering projects for Springdale Complex.
The Project Engineer will manage a total CapEx budget of up to $5 million annually, with a potential for greater impact in the year that a plant expansion would result in a CapEx budget of greater than $10 million.
Accountabilities also include manage CapEx portfolio for the plant, develop short term and long term CapEx budget, prepare commitment requests, complete projects on-time and within budget and safety expectations, supervise construction and installation of all engineering projects, ensure compliance with all regulations, and project execution through plant start-up and ownership by Operations.
30% - Direct accountability over projects and contractors necessary to completion. Has full responsibility including schedule, safety, cost, reliability, and successful start-up.
Develops designs, and plans building, equipment, and system options including safety, processing, environment, cost, and reliability.
Completes required documentation such as commitment requests and updates on capital spending progress.
20% - Works with Springdale and Wichita staffs to determine short-term and long-term project plans according to customer needs, plant improvement opportunities, and BU growth targets.
Minimum 5 years work experience in Project Engineering
Portfolio and Project Management
Contractor Safety Program
Bachelor of Science and Engineering or related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD
Familiar with all USDA, EPA, Food Safety Construction Standards
Knowledgeable in requirements for hygienic and sanitary design of equipment and facility
