The position requires the candidate to apply an extensive knowledge of engineering
principles and practices and make project level decisions relative to design criteria and
technical approach. The candidate will lead multi-discipline design projects with overall
responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating the engineering
Initiate projects from developing project execution plans and organizing kick-off meetings.
Assist project team in defining scope and level of detail to satisfy customer requirements.
Manage technical execution of project through regular meetings and interfacing with project
team. Coordinate with Project Manager on scope and schedule changes through routing
meetings and schedule updates. Ensure all design practices are implemented to ensure
quality of deliverables.
Ensure costs are kept within budget through the efficient use of resources and monitoring
Ensure technical adequacy of project deliverables meet customer expectation. 65% of time
will be directed towards ensuring a quality product.
Maintain profitability by structured execution plan and schedule. Use resources effectively
and efficiently to control costs. 35% of time will be directed towards scheduling, planning
and cost review.
Minimum of a BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 15 years experience in leading projects with at least 10 years experience in
power generation projects for nuclear or fossil plants.
PE license required or ability to obtain within one year.
