We’re pleased to announce the opening of a permanent full time position in our Workflow and Playout group in Denver, Colorado, a Project Engineer. The Project Engineer is responsible for comissioning and installing Miranda broadcast solutionsat customer sites worldwide.

  • Install, configure and commission Miranda broadcast systems at customer sites mainly in North America but also world - wide
  • Work at a Project site and commission Miranda Broadcast Solutions with an emphasis on Broadcast Automation
  • Support the completion of Miranda projects including the handover to the Customer Support group
  • Liaison with Customer, System Integrator, Suppliers and internal departments on matters regarding projects.
  • Liaise with R&D for any Custom Applications/Modules.
  • Rectify or escalate any issues affecting the Project.
  • Attend external Project meetings and communicate back any action required.
  • Visit locations as required to maintain successful completion of Projects.
  • Monitor and update Miranda Support Database with site specific issues.
  • Work with the Testing Department as required reproducing and testing site conditions.
  • Update and maintain spreadsheet of site system information.
  • Troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate meets these competencies:
  • College degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field
  • At least 5 years’ engineering (installation) experience in an on-air broadcast or equivalent facility
  • Troubleshooting/resolution of a wide variety of Broadcast System issues (esp. Automation)
  • Familiarity with Broadcast systems, workflows
  • Installing/upgrading/downgrading software versions of on-air (or equivalent) equipment
  • Broadcast equipment; Automation, Routing, Audio/Video plus basic electronics
  • On-air (or equivalent) broadcast operations and operational workflows
  • IT Networking (CCNA) , Switching, Domain Controller, Active Directory, DNS, SQL & database operation
  • Windows Server 2008, and Win7
  • Automation and traffic systems for Broadcasters
  • Ability to clearly analyze and document customer issues
  • Excellent English, verbal & written communication skills
  • Respect, approachability and dedication to customer service are essential
  • Ability and willingness to follow procedure plus independent thinking and motivation
  • Ability to think and act appropriately under pressure
  • Ability to travel and work flexible shifts
  • Ability to adapt to quick priority and schedule changes
  • Ability to think laterally and in a logical manner.
  • Ability to travel for long periods at short notice
