Purpose of Position
The engineering intern provides technical and support work for turbo machinery engineering projects. The work of the engineering intern is normally limited to a few specific areas within Compressor Controls Corporation, such as Project Engineering and assigned special projects. In addition to providing fundamental technical knowledge and skills, the engineering intern’s other major aspect of work is data collection, input, maintenance, record keeping and other assigned work. The position is temporary, nonexempt, part-time/hourly position.
Provides Support to the Following Positions
Project managers, project leaders, engineers, technicians
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
Provide fundamental technical support in various areas of engineering and operations, and specific assigned engineering projects.
Provide data collection, input and data management for engineering studies, projects and compliance requirements.
Provide limited technical analysis, troubleshooting and solutions under the direction of an engineer or supervisor.
Miscellaneous clerical duties.
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Interns will be assigned to a mentor that will oversee and organize project specific assignments. After completion of some project and process training, the intern will complete actual project duties such as engineering calculations, drawings, or database management.

Provide limited technical knowledge in specific areas of engineering aspects.
Operate test equipment and able to obtain measurements and data.
Use established computer programs to input data, run queries and perform analysis.
Complete assigned engineering projects as requested.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.
Maintain sensitive and confidential information regarding company information.
Support the company’s employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules.
College student, junior or higher standing, currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or masters degree program in electrical, chemical, aerospace or mechanical engineering.
Have analytical skills to recognize patterns in data, information or events to draw logical conclusions and make recommendations for action.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Proficient in English. Prefer candidates who are bilingual in languages found in Asia, Latin America or the Middle East.
Employment is contingent upon passing a post-offer physical and drug screen.
