The Project Executive is the on-site representative of the Company responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a single construction-management project ; as well as mentoring multiple Project Managers and Engineers.
The successful candidate will join the Gilbane team supporting the Rochester Joint Schools Construction Board. Gilbane has provided Program Management services for Phase 1 of the Facilities Modernization Program (FMP) of the Rochester City School District and the City of Rochester. The FMP is a three-phase program to update and improve school facilities and will span over 15 years. Because of our success in K-12 projects, Gilbane is searching for an ideal candidate to supplement our Executive staff in school construction management.
The typical responsibilities and duties of a Project Executive include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Direct and supervise the work of project administration, project superintendents and engineers to establish operational priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships with owners, subcontractors, unions, etc.
- Enforce project reporting requirements
- Manage critical issues
- Assume overall accountability for jobsite safety and quality
10+ years of experience in a project management role working on construction projects valued at $100 million or more
- BS OR MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
