Position Description
Performs all aspects of expediting for small to medium-sized projects. Coordinates expediting activities, reports on and takes appropriate action on supplier slippages which have an impact on the project schedule, reviews purchase orders for expediting requirements, seeks solutions to technical problems, reviews reports to clarify misunderstandings, monitors client changes, informs superiors of delivery status, and may provide technical guidance to lower level expediters. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in a Procurement related subject area, Business Administration or similar discipline and 2 years of experience in Expediting.
