SBM Offshore is currently recruiting for a Project HSSE Manager.
The basic purpose of the Project HSSE Manager is to oversee the Independent HSSE Management of small/medium sized projects (e.g. CALMs, less complex turrets) with moderate direction and oversight from the HSSE Manager.
HSSE Management of more complex projects (e.g. complex turrets, FSOs, drilling rigs) with more direction and oversight from the HSSE Manager.
PROPOSAL HSSE RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare the HSSE input to proposals for the Project & Development Group, including CTR estimates.
Review and ranking of contractor pre-qualification submittals
PROJECT HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY & ENVIRONMENTAL (HSSE) RESPONSIBILITIES
Champion the Company HSSE goal in the project i.e. NO HARM: PEOPLE – ASSETS – ENVIRONMENT.
Implement Stop Work Authority with project team.
Participate in kick-off meetings with suppliers where there are HSSE considerations.
Implement T.A.S.K (Total Application of Safety Knowledge) on the project.
Interface with the Client HSSE Representative to fulfill the contract requirements and realize the SBM Offshore and Client HSSE goals.
Develop Project HSSE Plans including the project HSSE audit requirements.
Identify and manage Occupational HSSE HAZIDs for the project.
Participate in the HSSE pre-qualification of Subcontractors, including pre-qualification audits.
Ensure the Group HSSE Section IX Contractor Specification is included with all fabrication and installation subcontracts, including definition of the ratio of HSSE Advisors to workers.
Review subcontractor Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Plans to ensure they meet the Company HSSE goals and contractual requirements.
Ensure the SBM Site Team is properly staffed with qualified HSSE Advisors.
Promote and monitor the effectiveness of HSSE at SBM’s subcontractors and fabricators; including, HSSE qualification of personnel, induction, training, promotion of HSSE, TASK implementation etc.
Perform HSSE audits of Subcontractors to the Project HSSE Plan requirements plus additional audits if necessary.
Conduct training and monitor implementation of project requirements.
Assist in Accident / Incident Investigation & Reporting.
Ensure the monthly site accident / incident statistics and reports are prepared including SIRS reporting, and prepare the project HSSE reports.
All tasks and duties as assigned by SBM Offshore Group Management.
Travel world wide for site evaluations and audit work.
The qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in HSSE or related field, 8 years’ experience in Industrial Hygiene and 4 years data management experience, or an equitable combination of experience and education.
An advanced Engineering degree or Professional Registration is desirable.
