The Project Leader, IT Global Delivery (PROJECT LEADER) role is primarily responsible for the overall off-shore project execution for their assigned IT services format, including: 
Project Leader will be hands on with user support, production support & troubleshooting to ensure high availability of the applications 
Project Leader will understand SDLC based Application Development environment 
The PROJECT LEADER provides specific details regarding work assignments to be performed and coordinated with other groups. 
The PROJECT LEADER will drive predictable behaviors in terms of required training, project process and successful outcomes, ensuring on-time project completion, and according to specifications. 
The PROJECT LEADER role provides a viewpoint of project status that enables offshore associates to gain key customer insights, technical/system knowledge, especially for long-term or complex projects. 
In addition, the PROJECT LEADER identifies and surfaces associated risks; understands resource requirements; drives quality, and assists in managing customer expectations during the ongoing execution of a project. 
The PROJECT LEADER will have a direct or dotted-line reporting relationship to the Director of Project Management for Global Delivery to ensure project quality and outcomes meet customer satisfaction requirements. 
Based on the volume of the off-shore work required by the IT services format, the PROJECT LEADER role may be a full time assignment or may be assigned as a smaller part of the associate’s current duties in another exempt role.

Responsibilities and Activities: 

Support business support issues and escalations as related to the application 
Analyze, debug and resolve abends, provide permanent solution to recurring issues 
Identify requirements for IT off-shore projects based on the understanding of business needs. 
Provide Oncall Support for the application 
Work with the on-shore Global Delivery team leaders to analyze and re-design complex business processes that lead to IT application development requirements. 
Lead Global projects to collect detailed requirements, analysis and development of information technology performance data collection, management and reporting processes. 
Participate in the process of comparing actual performance with planned performance, analyze variances, evaluate possible alternatives and take appropriate corrective action (control) as specified by the statement of work. 
Perform key management activities to ensure quality execution in the delivery of a service or solution, to deliver within constraints such as schedule, features, functionality, and budget, and manage customer conditions of satisfaction. 
Lead periodic senior management reviews of projects to communicate project status and present business process improvements. 
Collaborate with the Global Delivery team to stay current and involved in understanding the status of the work assigned off-shore relative to resources (people and optionally funding/cost), schedule (time), and features (the solution and its quality) as specified by the statement of work.

Minimum Requirements 
4+year college degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience 
4+ years in developer role within an Application Development Organization

Skills Requirements
• Knowledge of tools and procedures to manage applications within IBM Mainframe environment (Harvest, File-Aid, Abend-Aid, Xpeditor, COBOL, Job Scheduler)
• Analysis & problem solving capability
• Customer focused, Quality Focused, Detail oriented, Process oriented
• Ability to communicate & work effectively with culturally & geographically diverse teams
• Multitasking
• Experience with cross-functional teams preferred
• Ability to deliver to schedule
• Working understanding or applied knowledge of application development using:
- Web technologies – Web Servers, Application Servers, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML and XSLT
- Java technologies – Java, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and Portlets
- .NET technologies– C#, ASP, ASP.NET MVC, and Razor
• Understanding of Java-based portals such as Liferay
• Understanding of web content management systems and best practices
• Understanding of web analytics and best practices
