Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Real Estate – Construction team. The Project Manager is responsible for the construction management of new and remodeled stores, expediting, planning and cost control for store planning projects within the department and the Company’s framework. The main objective of the Project Manager is to deliver each project on schedule, on budget and with quality workmanship by working with Real Estate, Store Planning and Purchasing Department to insure a successful and quality project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accomplish construction project results by defining project purpose and scope; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols
Review construction plans for all new and remodeled stores as submitted by the architects to insure accuracy and detail
Estimate and manage costs of projects before and during construction
Meet construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions; providing non-project annual operating and capital budget information
Gather General Contractor bids and analyze once received
Organize construction schedules and supervision of field work
Manage construction schedules to meet deadline
Work with operations in the field, Regional Vice Presidents, District Managers and Store Managers
Keep open communication during construction to insure a successful and timely turnover
Review closeout packages for conformance with policy and procedures
Follow-up with warranty work
Establish standards and protocols
Perform duties as assigned
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related Project Management work experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Construction Management strongly preferred
Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills
Must be proficient with Excel
Willingness to travel
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Design and AutoCAD a plus
