Responsibilities Primary responsibility is to ensure the success of projects, including overseeing projects are completed on schedule, on budget, within scope, and meet the quality and standards of Scott & White. He/she will be heavily involved with managing business stakeholders and conducting project management activities, as well as analyzing, synthesizing and solving issues that arise during an implementation. This position will be expected to work independently and accept full responsibility for the success of small to medium sized projects as well as key components of larger scale projects.
--Create and manage the scope, cost, schedule, and quality of projects
--Leverage prior experience working with project management methodology including budget
development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management
software and finance and accounting concepts and practices.
--Thoroughly track project items (Tasks, RAID log, resources, documents, etc.) in the Project
and Portfolio Management software package
--Plan and manage assignments of varying scope by establishing metrics to measure
deployment of new project or process solutions.
--Prepare and Present project reports for management, stakeholders or others
--Manage all stakeholders throughout the project in order to assure implementation best
practices are followed and communication channels are effective
--Review project milestones and requirements regularly with the PMO and Scott & White
--Provide functional knowledge and understanding of pertinent regulations surrounding the
healthcare projects assigned
--Solve problems by analyzing business issues /requirements, analyzing data and synthesizing
--Enhance the maturity of the PMO organization by collaborating with other team members

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
--Able to execute projects on time, within budget and within scope
--Knowledge of project management principles, techniques, monitoring systems and software
needed to manage multiple projects
--Two or more years of experience managing projects requiring interdepartmental cooperation
--Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving, using collaborative techniques to identify project
problems and implement solutions.
--Ability to influence others and drive consensus to a particular point of view using business
logic, data and experience
--Ability to develop and present a professional product to multiple levels of management.
--Ability to communicate assignments and due dates in a clear, professional and concise
--Strong communication skills
--Proficient with MS Office applications including Project, Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
--Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients
with a variety of personalities and goals.
--Experience with change management processes, both for deploying projects as well as
managing changes to scope, schedule, and budget
--Experience working with productivity and methodology tools that increase project efficiency
--Experience working with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures relevant to
--Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development,
integration, and deployment of project phases
--Should have knowledge of PMI® processes
--Project Management Certification is a plus.
--Working with Requests for Proposals is a plus
--Adept understanding of the technical requirements of a Healthcare organization preferred
--Two or more years of experience in applications development, business analysis, and/or
support of healthcare information systems in a project management capacity preferred
