We are currently seeking a Project Manager Drug Discovery for the Silver Spring, MD area.


  • Participates in project planning (goals, timelines, resources)
  • Ensures achievement of the project goals in a timely manner and within budget
  • Assists project leaders and project teams in executing the organizational and project management aspects of the project
    • Develops and manages project goals, timelines, and resources
    • Facilitates team discussion, issue identification, risk analysis, problem solving, and decision making
    • Coordinates preparation and follow-up of project-related information (plans, proposals, recommendations, update reports, issues, meeting agendas, minutes and action items)
    • Develop project budget and keep track of cost
  • Works with teams to define roles and responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee is required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.
  • Performs light duties and other related duties as required and assigned.


  • Experience with project management in cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to facilitate decision making and problem solving
  • Effective communication at all functional levels
  • Broad knowledge of drug discovery
  • Ph.D. preferred
  • Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.
