SAIC has a Project Management opportunity on a customer site in Mclean, VA. All candidates must possess a TS/SCI w/ Polygraph to be considered.
The Project Manager will perform horizontal integration planning, and interface with other functional areas to ensure technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner while acting as the primary point of contact for non-routine to moderately complex installation projects for information technology networks.
Manages activities in support of customer and teams who support the relocation, build-out, stand up, provisioning, design, installation, maintenance, and billing of services.
Introduces and installs IT networks and equipment into various Government facilities. Project management efforts include the oversight and monitoring of tasks, schedule, funding and documentation.
Prepares, briefs and documents status reports, deliverables, portfolio reviews and program documentation.
Provides a total systems perspective including a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components.
Responsible for all project management activities, including risk, scope, cost, time, quality, communications and resource management.
Plans, coordinates, measures, monitors, controls and reports against project activities.
Makes recommendations for major systems’ installations and coordinates with other team members and ensures problem solution, appropriate risk reduction, and user satisfaction.
Ensures that adequate and appropriate planning is provided for IT communications for facilities.
Manages efforts of a staff engaged in facility additions, moves or changes including analysis, telecommunications (LAN, WAN, voice, video) planning, cabling, IT requirements, etc.
Performs site surveys.
Consults with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
BS and 10 yrs experience or MS and 6 yrs. (Combination of other education, years of experience, training and work history will be considered in lieu of a degree).
Experience in preparing and/or reviewing technical and programmatic documentation to ensure their accuracy and to ensure that impacts are identified, understood and communicated.
Experience in identifying potential problem areas in configurations and the ability to identify corrective actions, communicate them and monitor them to ensure that the configuration reflects the identified activity.
Knowledgeable in life-cycle support, including maintenance, administration, and management.
Knowledgeable in computer systems and gathering/identifying requirements.
Must be able to track project studies, plans, actions items, take minutes, etc.
Experience in planning and coordinating activities such as installation and upgrading of hardware and software.
