A. HEADING
Temp to Perm - PROJECT MANAGER
Reports to: AVP, PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE

B. SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for the management of multiple, complex projects. The major activities include project scoping, planning, executing, and monitoring with the goal of delivering the projects on time and within budget. Additional responsibilities include business analysis, requirements gathering, process documentation and process redesign.

C. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performing project management activities including project planning, execution, monitoring and controlling

Conducting business analysis of the current state and identifying areas for improvement

Defining and documenting business requirements

Developing project management processes and procedures and being a champion within the organization.

D. EXPERIENCE
Three to five years experience performing project management, preferably in the financial services / banking industry

Three to five years experience with industry standard project management processes and procedures

Three to five years experience performing business analysis, preferably in the financial services / banking industry

One to three years of process improvement / process redesign experience

E. EDUCATION
BS preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent work experience

Project Management Certification is a plus

Written and verbal skills, to effectively interact with all levels of staff and management

Listening skills, to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say

Interviewing skills, to talk with internal business partners, understand their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements

Facilitation skills, to lead requirements gathering, negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders

Teamwork skills, to work as part of a team, lead initiatives, and share responsibility

Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements

Influence skills, to promote project management methodologies across the organization

Time management skills, to manage multiple tasks and priorities while simultaneously meeting all deadlines

Technical skills, to utilize Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
