The Project Manager will report to the Director, Facilities Resource Group (FRG) and will collaborate with other members of FRG. The position will primarily assist in the
provisions of oversight for capital projects, including design and construction of new facilities, renovation of existing facilities, infrastructure renewal and energy conservation. The Project Manager will provide oversight and support to hospital based project teams to ensure compliance with the Ascension Health Design and Construction Standards. The candidate will model all aspects of professionalism with emphasis on establishing the System’s productive role in significant capital projects.

Assist the Health Ministries in navigating the Capital Allocation Process.
Review technical documents including drawings and specifications for correct implementation of Standards and to develop high performance design.
Collect, review, maintain and summarize project data using project management software and serve as a technical expert on the software for Health Ministry contacts.
Provide technical support for Systemwide participation in Med-Assets Construction Services program.
Collaborate with other subject-matter experts within Ascension Health and the Health Ministries to ensure the benefits of their expertise flow to developing
Develop and manage metrics that track and report the overall effectiveness of services delivered by FRG.
Promotes and exemplifies and supports the Ascension Health Core Values of Service of the Poor, Reverence, Integrity, Wisdom, Creativity, and Dedication.
Support the Ascension Health Environmental Stewardship Program as necessary.
Actively research and study new developments in healthcare facilities for possible incorporation within Ascension Health.
Collaborate with other functional areas within Ascension Health (such as Financial Planning and Strategic Development) and Preferred Partners to support the FRG.
Maintains dependable relationships with the customers of FRG, including System Office associates, local Health Ministries and external vendors.
Contributes to an environment within FRG that fosters teamwork, effective communication, responsiveness and customer service.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Director, FRG.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management or related field and five or more years of experience in the design and construction field. Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Internet Explorer and SharePoint) and working knowledge of scheduling, estimating and project management software such as Primavera, Prolog, eBuilder or similar programs. Previous experience in a healthcare environment is a plus.
