As the Project Manager (PM) you are responsible for all business aspects of the project and lead the project team through the VE Process to successful conclusion. You work extremely closely with the Solutions Architect (SA)/Project Engineer (PE)/Systems Engineer (SE) that is assigned to the project team to achieve the successful completion of the project on time and on budget, having provided the technical functionality per our commitment and having met the client's expectations.
As the PM you are responsible for creating and maintaining the following: Project Schedule with resource allocations. Meeting minutes for all internal and external project team meetings. Internal and external actions/issues lists. Risk Register Budgets Project Change Orders System Acceptance Documents Signed copies of completed Acceptance Tests and System Acceptance. Written monthly project status reports to clients.
The Project Manager has the authority and responsibility for the overall budget, schedule and business commitments associated with a project. The PM fulfils the following major roles:
Contracts Coordination Responsible for ensuring the Statement of Work accurately and completely captures all activities that Christie will be performing under the contact. Responsible for ensuring all contract deliverables (excluding system performance, which is an SA/PE/SE responsibility) are met. Obtaining sign-off at major milestones to ensure customer concurrence with project progress (i.e. PDR, CDR, FAT, SAT, Project Completion) Documenting critical project communications Create and process Project Change Orders
Project Coordination Create and maintain schedules based on input from team. Align Christie and client project schedules. Schedule all project meetings (i.e. EDR, PDR, CDR, Staging Planning Meeting, FAT, Installation Planning meeting, TRR, etc.), ensure minutes are captured per above and that minutes are archived and distributed to those involved. Chair all non-design meetings. Conducting technical and financial closeout meetings. Entertain clients as required while visiting the factory and when on site during final stages of installation. Ensuring all expenses are submitted by staff for Project in timely fashion.
Management Reporting Reporting EVMS performance for the project. Reporting project status (semi-monthly) to Manager, Custom Solutions. Provide written monthly project status reports to clients as required.
Logistics Coordinate Shipment Logistics with Christie Logistics Department Ensure staging resources and plan are incorporated and kept up to date with VE Operations planning group.
Financial When Change Orders occur, ensure customer order is updated. Ensure invoices are generated when project invoicing milestones are met.
Customer Service Ensure all client questions and concerns related to the System Christie is providing are answered and/or addressed in a timely fashion Align client expectations with procured system capabilities (working with the SA/PE/SE)
Other Activities as may be required by unique project needs or their manager.
