The Project Manager is responsible for driving the strategic initiatives for all new product development, redesigns & product changes for the Retail Customer Own Brand Program. Development efforts include sourcing, quality assurance, packaging design, project management & inventory management for both Fresh and Non-Perishable businesses.

Key Position Responsibilities

Management of packaging development types for all brands (redesign, new product development & maintenance/routine work)

Bring resolution to challenges that arise during the product development process

Identify bottlenecks & recommend adjustments

Analyze process & reduce rework

Create efficiencies in the process

Post project review assessments

Cross functional tracking & communication

Create and modify schedules to satisfy the needs of customers while managing the desires of the business leaders maintaining regular communication

Tracking of overall project plan

Timeline creator, owner & communicator

Management of weekly status meetings

Facilitator / Manager of regular project kick off meetings

Supplier Coordination

Project information collection

Communicate project & timeline expectations

Responsible for development of project / category specific technical brief

Work with various stakeholders in collecting and understanding product specific detail for packaging communication

Associate participates in Quality Assurance product testing and sensory testing

Manages projects as they come from Sourcing

Business Management Coordination

UPC champions - assignment / distribution

Distribute final PDF's to BDM team for item set up

Manage & distribute packaging samples

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Strong retail background as demonstrated by proven experience or background working within a retail or CPG environment

Grocery retail experience; must possess a solid understanding of CPG / Grocery categories, products and new package development.

Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills.

3 to 5 years marketing, buying/selling of consumer package goods or Grocery experience a must.

Excellent analytical and technical skills: knowledge of spreadsheet and database software and the ability to explain and provide insights from reports.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Working knowledge of IRI or Nielsen market data a plus.

Must be eligible to work in the US
