Business Description: Risk & Compliance Solutions helps financial institutions optimize their use of and return on capital by making risk actionable and transparent within their organizations. Key areas include financial performance management solutions for budgeting and planning, financial accounting, and funds transfer pricing and profitability; financial risk management solutions for credit, market and liquidity risk as well as asset/liability management; financial crime risk management solutions for fraud and money laundering detection and mitigation; and financial control solutions for reconciliation, exception management and account certification.

Job Purpose:
The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Manager of Software Development, thus serving a broad support role for Fiserv’s Financial Control Solutions Management Team. More specific responsibilities will include developing and executing project plans to support numerous software releases. There will be opportunities to act as a role model and mentor on product development lifecycle methodology, standards and change leadership. Some efforts might require leading broad, ambiguously defined initiatives. Some assignments will be strategic in nature, requiring this individual to exercise creativity, some level of vision and conceptualization, self-motivation and initiative. The Project Manager will be expected to be a leader, well versed in project management skills and an effective communicator, oral and written. There may be small group speaking and presentation opportunities.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Exercise some project management activities

Develop and manage to plan

Anticipate and identify risks and issues

Develop and implement mitigation plans

Manage stakeholder expectations

Plan and facilitate meetings

Report status

Escalate issues / priority discrepancies as needed

Continue driving deployment of new product management tools, techniques, practices and processes

Lead Software Development improvement initiatives

Define success metrics and develop reporting plan for measuring progress across all assigned initiatives

Collect data and work with assigned resources to identify potential areas of improvement

Based on internal feedback, work with management to develop strategy for gaining operational efficiencies and increasing customer satisfaction.

Operate under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment

Required Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree. Four years of military experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

Job-Related Experience:
5 years of project and/or product management experience. One year of experience as a Scrum Master may be combined with 4 years of project and/or product management experience

Significant experience in development project lifecycle

Full understanding of formal Software Development Life Cycle methodologies with expertise in Agile Scrum

Minimum one year experience as a Scrum Master

Entrepreneurial attitude with advanced leadership skills (formal training a plus)

Skilled negotiator with the ability to build consensus and influence across functional teams

Ability to set strategy, but focus on tactical and detail for execution

Sharp decision-making skills and an ability to prioritize and execute on multiple activities

Mature communication skills, both oral and written, to concisely communicate status, key issues and resolutions in manners appropriate to the audience

Strong interpersonal skills – able to build and maintain working relationships across functional teams

Broad market expertise required

Accounting or Finance knowledge preferable but not required

Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Professional project, Six Sigma belt or product management certification a plus
