Project Manager Reporting to the Implementations Team Lead, the Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall relationship management of assigned client accounts, ensuring Harmony is able to deliver quality products and services on time and within budget through effective management of Harmony resources.The PM serves as the leader of an implementation team while ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.As a member of the Customer Success department, the PM may also receive project-specific supervision and guidance from another Project Manager, the Technical Services Team Lead or the Director of Implementation Services, acting in the capacity of Project Director.

This is a full-time, exempt position, with occasional travel to customer sites as well as to the Harmony offices in Reston, VA and Essex Junction, VT.The location of this position is open geographically with preference given to candidates in the greater Washington DC area or Burlington, VT area.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and implementation of all projects
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Manage the overall relationship and expectations of assigned clients
  • General oversight of the complete project development life cycle for assigned projects, including compliance with all project related contracts and Statements of Work
  • Support the development of compliant and high-quality responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and client-requested inquiries to ensure the quality and accuracy of the response
  • Analyzes business processes and procedures in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the client organization to achieve its goals. This includes, but is not limited to, data collection, workflow, reporting requirements, outcomes, data sharing, and security
  • Leads business process review sessions with the customer to accurately map customer business processes to the Harmony suite of products as required by the project
  • May need to create documentation including business analysis, business requirements, gap analysis, design specification and training documents
  • May need to coordinate pre-installation data gathering, analysis and conversion, system configuration and testing for new and ongoing projects
  • Participate in budgeting and project authorization process
  • Oversight and coordination of all overlapping project timelines and deliverables for assigned client projects; including client executive steering committee meetings
  • Assure compliance with Harmony's standard project management methodologies
  • Selection and management of assigned project resources on an ongoing basis
  • Provide on-going feedback regarding performance of all project team members
  • Interface with other Services teams as well as sales, support, IT, accounting, product management and product development as necessary
  • Timely and accurate reporting to client and Harmony management on the status of projects
  • Timely submission of project information to Harmony's Professional Systems Automation system (OpenAir)
  • Train and mentor new Services employees
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications and the Microsoft Project Management software program
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage stress
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to tailor communication style for all levels in the organization
  • Proven ability to work successfully with a geographical disperse team
  • Proven ability to coordinate and lead a cross-functional team of internal and external team members
  • Proven ability to motivate a team and deliver results
  • Proven technical and business problem-solving skills
  • Operational knowledge of basic finance and accounting concepts
  • Ability to collaborate and compromise to achieve positive business results
  • Ability to manage a project on or below budget and on or ahead of schedule
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, human services or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 4 year's project management experience
  • Direct work experience in project management capacity with complex and large scale technology deployments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP Certification and training
  • Experience working for a Human Services organization or provider
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and/or SQL
