Responsibilities Work closely with PMO group to identify scope and schedules of projects Coordinate resource usage by increasing or decreasing resources based on project requirements Work with PMO to develop communication plan Ensures communication is timely and effective Attend or facilitate project status meetings with interested project stakeholders Maintain and enhance quality through the effective use of standardized project management processes Document all information relative to the desktop portion of the project Uses this documentation to report to the appropriate groups for asset management and other related areas Solves andor removes constraints which create obstacles to the completion of the project and related staff including the installation team Provide input to the continuous improvement of the IS organizations desktop project coordination method Work with vendors to maintain contract labor for the installation teams Manage the project budget for asset managementdesktopdeployment technicians Perform tech reviews for all hardware required for the project Provide andor coordinate testing of new hardware introduced into the environment Work with IT procurement to order any new equipment needed for a project Ensure that project deliverables satisfy project requirements Participate in or lead other project activities as needed Minimal EducationCertification Requirements Associates degree in business or an IT related field Bachelors degree preferred A+ Certification PMP preferred Experience with the Following Tools Preferred Microsoft EPM Tivoli Security Information and Event Manager (TSIEM) Tivoli Service Request Manager (TSRM) Tivoli Asset Management for IT (TAMIT) Tivoli Enterprise Asset Management (Maximo) Tivoli End Point Manager (TEM) Specific Skills and Special Abilities Required Effective organizational and time management skills with attention to detail effective follow through and commitment to excellence Must have the ability to create and organize project workplans and schedules and concurrently plan and track multiple projects involving varied activities and deliverables The ability to analyze identify and resolve problems Knowledge of various software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Windows OS Novell Groupwise Microsoft Office products Knowledge and experience with installing and troubleshooting various brands of personal computer hardware Ability to work independently as well as interact effectively with peers management clinicians vendors and department users Ability to write reports business correspondence and asset documentation Ability to multitask maintaining projects while supervising team Necessary strengths include Leadership Project CoordinationManagement Professional Services and Customer Service Experience in a hospital or clinical environment preferred Knowledge of clinical software including mobile medical andor medical records is preferred Knowledge of HIPAA compliance preferred
