Project Manager
Description
The primary function of this position is to manage multi-discipline capital and expense projects that fall under the responsibility of the Engineering Hub. The individual will manage multiple projects and will become highly integrated into the company site through project and technical assistance request support. Project involvement will occur at various phases of the project execution cycle from Front End Loading through commissioning. Key tasks will include scope development, conceptual design, process design, detailed design, cost estimate preparation, coordination of required project reviews, preparation of approval documentation, coordination of project related procurement activities, construction and commissioning support.
Qualifications -
A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. A professional engineering license is desired but not required.
Required:
A minimum of 8 years professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer with at least 5 years experience as a Project Manager / Engineer. The following skill sets are considered critical qualities that the candidate must possess:
§ Very strong customer focus capabilities to closely interact with multiple organizational levels
§ Demonstrated work experience in project management including conceptual development, estimating and project execution
§ A strong technical background in Mechanical Engineering with demonstrated experience in the chemical industry where related technical skills were applied
§ Strong interpersonal, communication, administrative, personal motivation and personal adaptability skills
§ Working knowledge of chemical process equipment including but not limited to rotating equipment, heat transfer, solids handling, storage tanks and vessels
§ Detailed knowledge of industry codes
§ Working knowledge of HVAC systems

§ Understanding of best industry practices regarding maintenance activities and work processes
§ Knowledge of the company Project Execution Roadmap
§ Proficient in use of SAP
§ Ability to interact and communicate at a high competency level in manufacturing technical discussions
