Summary of Job Description

Join Mandiant as a project manager within our Computer Incident Response Team (MCIRT) and become part of a rapidly growing and successful organization focused on today's emerging cyber security threats. The successful candidate should be an independent solution oriented individual who is skilled in managing technology projects and working with both junior and seasoned engineers and software developers.

Essential Responsibilities

Work with business leaders to capture and clarify objectives and deadlines
Work with technology practitioners to establish and achieve milestones that meet business objectives
Communicate plans at tactical and strategic levels at varying levels of the organization as appropriate
Support all cross-organizational development and engineering tasks

Required Skills

Ability to organize, prioritize, and lead the execution of complex project plans
Ability to communicate and interact with a broad set of personnel on the specification and prioritization of features
Ability to deliver succinct and fact-based communications, both verbally and in writing
Ability to use formal project management skills in planning, tracking, and reporting on project progress
Capable of leading and tracking numerous projects with divergent schedules
Sufficient technical background to quickly understand features, the software development lifecycle, and "engineering realities"
Knowledge of tools and technologies used for enterprise security
Understanding of current information security challenges and solutions

Required Technical Skills

Experience managing and launching enterprise security projects/products
Experience in the business aspects of the enterprise software industry
Experience with enterprise security, digital forensics, or computer security incident response

Education and Other Requirements

Bachelor’s or equivalent with emphasis on analytical/quantitative work (math/engineering/statistics/business)
Minimum of eight years of information technology and/or project management experience
At least 5 years of experience working with security technologies
Willingness to travel up to 10%


This position is located in our headquarters office in Alexandria, VA or in Reston, VA
