Responsible for leading project efforts within the company that are medium to large in size. Manage projects and demonstrate strong leadership skills. Familiar with the project lifecycle and standard project management methodologies. Exemplifies the "Ways to Amaze!" Customer Service Philosophy.
Demonstrate experience and knowledge of Project Management principles and methods.
Work in and understand the methods and responsibilities of a Project Management Office (PMO).
Work independently on medium and large projects to provide guidance to other Project Managers.
Responsible for all phases of the project lifecycle including initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing.
Communicate as needed via status reports, email, phone and team meetings.
Participate in the development, maintenance and improvement of the Project Management methodology.
Ensure Project Management processes and methods meet necessary industry audit standards.
Identify and track issues to resolution.
Mentor team members on Project Management methodology. Planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, issue management and status reporting.
Understand and advocate for the PMO's value to the company.
Maintain the project schedule.
Maintain the project repository and all pertinent documentation for the project.
Conduct presentations to individuals and groups as neccesary.
Interact with the project Executive sponsor on critical issues and pertinent updates.
Demonstrate excellent team building, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Provide input into team member performance reviews.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
4 year business related degree is preferred.
CAPM or PMP certification from PMI or equivalent a plus.
Experience in managing multiple types of projects such as feasibility, implementation, vendor selection, in-house development, outsourced, etc.
Experience managing projects using Project Management practices.
Possess an understanding of the basic concepts of business analysis, software testing, IT, enterprise governance and Project Porfolio Management.
Effective leadership, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
Manage medium to large projects through the definition, planning and execution stages.
Experience in budget, planning, risk and issue resolution.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in an office setting. Working extended hours may be required as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
