DEPARTMENT: Process & Project Management (PPM)

JOB TITLE: Project Manager

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Summary:
Primarily responsible for managing and delivering large cross-functional initiatives and providing business analysis and subject matter (industry and process) expertise to successfully drive projects to completion.

Responsibilities:
Project Management and Delivery: Planning: Works with Project sponsors to define project requirements and prepare pre-execution documentation (PIOs, PDDs, NAPs, BPOBs, etc...) Documenting: Responsible for creating and storing relevant project execution artifacts (charters, requirement documents, meeting minutes, project plans, runbooks, etc…) Budgeting and Reporting: Creates project financial and resource budgets, monitors and reports on actuals, and escalates deviations as appropriate Scheduling: Prepares, manages, and communicates project schedules Communicating and Reporting: Systematically communicates project updates to key stakeholders Facilitating: Facilitates Steering Committees, project status meetings, working groups, etc… Testing: Manages UAT process by works closely with Business Analysts and support functions to create test scripts, validate UAT results, escalate and remediate issues, etc… Managing Stakeholders: Acts as the day-to-day liaison between various project participants (Sponsors, SteerCo, Business Lines, support functions, working groups, vendors, etc...) and acts as the point person to remediate project risks and issues Dependency Management : Understands interdependencies within and between projects and effectively escalates as appropriate Business Analysis & Subject Matter Expertise: BA Work Using Industry Expertise: Uses experience in trading and investment organizations and knowledge of industry technology solutions to benefit projects through requirements gathering, issue resolution, testing, etc… BA Work Using Process Expertise: Uses relevant experience understanding and improving processes to benefit projects through requirements gathering, issue resolution, testing, etc… Other: Contributes content and subject matter expertise to other PPM resources Contributes content and subject matter expertise to the rest of the Organization

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED :
8+ years of experience in project management or equivalent consulting role Past success in large, cross-functional projects management (3+ projects) Sound technical/systems and process knowledge with a good insight into the development process Significant experience using all Microsoft Office Applications (i.e.: MS Project, MS PPT, Visual basic programming in Excel, Access, etc) Sound knowledge of trading and investment organizations processes Knowledge of various in-house trading, confirmations, clearing software Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management Capable of working in a high demand environment and under multiple time constraints Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred
