DESCRIPTION

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Project Manager, Grade 25, to support implementation of the Psychiatric Services and Clinical Knowledge Enhancement System (PSYCKES). PSYCKES is a web-based portfolio of reports designed to support quality improvement and clinical decision-making and is currently in use by over 400 programs in NYS as well as state agencies, county governments, and behavioral health organizations.

PSYCKES uses Medicaid claims data to generate performance measures on quality concerns across all levels of the system, including provider, county, region, and state; clinical reports provide up to five years of Medicaid treatment history across settings. The PSYCKES team manages several statewide quality improvement projects and clinical implementation efforts, including training, technical assistance, and evaluation, and participates in requirement development and quality assurance activities for the PSYCKES applications.

This position requires a highly organized individual with excellent communication, analytical, writing and training skills who is self-motivated, a team player, and relates well to a diverse group of the public including, but not limited to senior executives, medical directors, clinicians, and administrators in institutions that deliver mental health services.

Salary: $73,059 plus $3,026 Location Pay

DUTIES

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate clinical tools, training protocols and webinars for sites participating in PSYCKES initiatives.
  • Provide clinical consultation and technical assistance to participating programs.
  • Develop and implement tools and procedures to monitor and track project milestones.
  • Participate in developing communication and outreach strategies and materials for clinicians, consumers, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in evaluation activities, including the production of documents which disseminate evaluation findings in the forms of presentations, management information reports, and scientific journals for a variety of audiences.
  • Participate in ongoing joint application development meetings to refine and enhance the PSYCKES application.
QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:
Doctorate and two years experience in an appropriate field, or a master's degree and three years of experience. Appropriate fields include: Social Work, Public Health, Psychiatry, Psychology, Nursing, or a related social science or medical field.

Preferred Qualifications: Clinical experience in community mental health agencies or hospital settings; experience managing quality improvement activities. Responsibilities:
