Ryan Partnership is looking for a seasoned project manager. This position will be operating out of our Chicago office. We are looking for someone that is detailed, motivated, and self-sufficient. He/she must ensure high quality work is delivered on time and on budget, manage a loyal and efficient creative environment and support the account management team with estimates, scopes of work & detailed project plans. The project manager will also maintain critical milestones impacting deliverables, schedules, and budget. He/she will also be responsible for managing multiple fast-paced CRM-related engagements including both digital and print mediums. At the top of our list, this project manager has the experience and soft skills to be effective in dealing with people and situational issues; both internally with their colleagues and with their client(s), producing insightful and reasonable solutions and eliminating conflict whenever possible.
Develop detailed project plans and project estimates to ‘task’ level
Manage both individual and team time to the scope of work for retainer and non-retainer work, managing to work stream budgets
Ability to create detailed scope of work for any new ad hoc, or out of scope project work requests
Resolving issues by coordinating among stakeholders and escalating as necessary
Creating and presenting project status reports and memos to account management and client
Reviewing and approving (or rejecting) time and expense submittals related to your project budgets
Serve as the primary interface with 3rd party vendors
Core Delivery Duties:
Co-management of project kick-off meetings (internal and external) alongside account management team
Development and management of ongoing project timelines
Creation, management and archiving of project collaboration tool tasks and sub-tasks
Creation, management and archiving of project job jackets/bags
Project job number open and close requests
Monitoring and maintaining internal and external milestones
Change request management and validation
Facilitation of project meetings both internal and external
Review of all project deliverables for quality and accuracy
Maintenance of project documentation
Daily maintenance and communication of project status reports and meetings to project stakeholders
Identification and communication of project risks and assumptions
Quality assurance and reporting oversight as related to your projects
URL matrix development and wireframe section/area identification for developer reference to each URL
Wireframe identification for project briefs; support for/with account management, creative and tech

Project Resource Planning using MS Project or Excel
Understanding of full MS Office Suite including, Outlook

Understanding and use of project collaboration tools; JIRA, Basecamp

4-8 Years business experience required Minimum of 4 years of experience in a project or program management role Minimum of 2 years of experience managing strategic and organizational aspects of business & technology projects required Minimum 3-5 years of proven B2C experience managing projects in a commercial development environment, digital marketing and print management industries (preferably in a high-volume or critical production service environment, focused upon technology) Must be excel across all phases of project management; initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing projects; according to strict deadlines and within tight budgets Needs to possess general understanding in the areas of application programming, database, and desktop- and web-based system design, and understand framework differences between Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures Working knowledge in many of the following areas required: enterprise architecture, user experience (UX), CRM, packaged software, collaboration tools, mobile technologies, custom application development, IT infrastructure, system integration, and outsourcing Ability to handle political client cultural situations with oversight Proven success in managing the delivery of the customer’s expectation Experience with program and project management methodologies Deep functional knowledge of core business processes such as accounting and financials, estimating, forecasting, email marketing, direct mail marketing, mobile technologies and user experience design best practices Previous programming skills are helpful, but not required PMP desired, but not required
Education 4- Year degree in business, marketing, advertising, or equivalent required; advanced degrees, a plus
