We are currently looking to fill a full time Project Manager role in our Naperville office. The Project Manager is responsible for leading the days to day management of cross-functional teams that develop and implement marketing solutions, and developing responses for RFPs, RFI’s and proposals.
The Project Manager acts as the client’s primary point of contact and is involved in all aspects of client projects, including estimation and management of timelines and developing new procedures and methods to reduce the risk and difficulties associated with medium to large sized projects of moderate complexity. Planning activities generally cover a 12 - 24 month time span and impact on multiple Allant departments.
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring project results contribute positive business value and meet agreed-upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
Our successful candidate will have at least five years of technical project management in the marketing industry and three years of experience managing database implementations for marketing organizations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains thorough understanding of Allant business functions in order to direct and implement client projects and service offerings.
Implements and expands upon Client Solutions department vision and objectives within assigned team.
Trains and supports project team members to ensures adherence to the Program Management Governance structure and Project Management tools and methodology
Leads a cross-functional team including Business Development, Client Services, and IT/Development Services as well as external stakeholder to achieve success.
Develops and maintains comprehensive project work plans.
Develops client-ready deliverables, resolves issues, and leads client meetings.
Reviews project deliverables to ensure timeliness and quality prior to client presentations.
Accountable for project deliverables and project budget adherence; prepares regular internal/external project stakeholder reports.
Participates in negotiation of scope and timelines with Business Development and clients.
Manages scope change and enhancement requests. Documents, evaluates, and estimates impact on the solution, project timeline, and project cost.
Directs and mentors project team members.
Develops estimates of resource requirements for all aspects of development projects
Validates financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures.
Leads the analysis and development of solution options for systems, process, or data quality problems.
Implements mitigation strategies to address project risks and minimize impact to the project.
Oversees and ensures seamless transition of projects to Operations and Client Services; including coordinating the documentation needs related to ongoing operations and delivery
Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Travel requirements vary by assignment.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
5+ years of technical project management experience managing full lifecycle software development and implementation projects
3+ years of experience in the marketing industry
3+ years managing database implementation projects for a marketing organization
PMP certification, highly desired
Ability to interface with clients, excellent communication and organizational skills
Proven ability to operate in an ambiguous and changing work environment
Must be comfortable working in a high volume environment.
Must be a self-starter who can manage projects independently and without oversight
College Degree required; computer science and/or marketing emphasis preferred
Experience with recognized project management tools and risk tracking tools
Proficiency with MS Project, Word, and Excel
Experience with project forecasting and budgeting
