  • Define the application and technical architecture structure, ensuring that it meets the business requirements and performance goals that the technical direction is c consistent with the Company’s long-term direction
  • Work with other architects to ensure that the products and components work together to meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements
  • Lead the application and technical architecture analysis, design, and implementation, and ensure that the product fulfills the requirements. When applicable, work with the integration solution architect on these tasks.
  • Design individual technology components of the application development, execution, or operations architecture.
  • Define the roles and responsibilities assigned to each team responsible for participating in the implementation (design, build, test, and deployment) and review of a specific interface between two or more applications.
  • Confirm the completeness and consistency of project deliverables. Resolve any inconsistencies discovered.
  • Inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other project areas.
  • Participate in quality management reviews as outlined by Company’s PMO (Program Management Office) and EARC (Enterprise Architecture Review Committee) to ensure adherence to all quality management plans and standards.
  • Facilitate Joint Application Design sessions with the interfacing application teams and vendors to ensure cross-team communication and collaboration.
  • Identify cross-team issues, and communicate them to the integration solution architect and the appropriate team leads.
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with other technical experts to define concepts
Scope of Services
The candidate will be a key liaison within IT, business and vendor.
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Provide day-to-day project leadership and direction
  • Document all the needed artifacts for Quality gates
  • Work with Business Analysts to utilize a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assess business needs and identify business priorities.
  • Establish liaison relationship with business partners in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
  • Liaison with vendor to lead the application, data and testing integration effort
  • Create technical Design documents
  • Create traceability documents
  • Work with test Team to document User Acceptance test plans.
  • Work with test Team to document user test cases and validate test results during user acceptance testing.
  • Monitor and analyze metrics to ensure successful project and program completion.
  • Prepare weekly reports for the program director and the business sponsor showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies across the project/program.
  • Investigate, resolve and escalate problems.
  • Promote an understanding of IT roles, processes and activities to the business units.
  • Support and participate in the formal reporting of project status.
  • Assist the test team in the development of user test cases and validates test results during user acceptance testing.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant technical/ business work experience
  • Hands-on experience managing large projects/programs with hands on technical involvement throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • In the Credit Card, Payments Gateway, Back Office Financial Systems/industry
  • in the Airline or Travel industry
  • Hands-on experience as a program technical lead with proven SDLC experience and working with multiple operating systems (Mainframe- TPF, Unix, Linux, relational database, Oracle) and client server environment.

  • Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards
  • Ability to provide technical leadership to project resources to meet project deadlines and ensure that project objectives are met
  • Ability to consult with and develop technical resources for methods, procedures, and standards to use during design, development, and unit testing phases of the project
  • Ability to complete technical designs that are in line with the technical requirements, following the applicable design standards and ensuring that those designs are functionally and technically sound and integrate with other related system components
  • Ability to transition designs to programmers, ensuring a clear and complete understanding of those designs
  • Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve system development and maintenance activity issues and risks, escalating them as needed
  • Ability to review technical documentation to verify compliance with client requirements and established architectural standards and guidelines

Strong Plus (But Not Required)

  • Experience in process mapping, optimization, flow-charting, decomposition, swim lane diagrams, BPA/BPM software/tools.
  • Microsoft Office – Advanced abilities with Excel, Access, Visio and Power Point (i.e., Power User)
  • Expert in Visio, creating swim lanes, process flow and arch diagrams
  • Payment Gateway Experience
Must Have Soft Skills
  • Self-Motivated and works well under pressure
  • Strong both technically and good communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and written communication.

Travel Requirements

Minimum of 20% if needed (mainly North east Corridor)
