This person will be responsible for the full systems lifecycle from requirements gathering through development, testing, implementation and handoff to support for a single workstream as part of a larger program. This person will work closely with IT and business participants and must demonstrate professional knowledge to ensure that the work products are of the highest caliber to ensure client satisfaction. This person will also apply subject matter expertise to identify, develop, and implement techniques to improve engagement productivity, increase efficiencies, mitigate risks, resolve issues, and optimize cost savings and efficiencies for the client.
This project workstream focuses on cross-project requirements to support the requirements of the overall WINbiz program. Technologies currently in use are listed below. This list may be impacted by a parallel strategy project, to which this project manager may be asked to contribute subject matter expertise.
- Microsoft Reporting Services / SQL Server Reporting
- Informatica Powercenter (upgrading to 9.5)
- Neteeza TwinFin
- rePortal – may include Crystal Reports
Proven experience in a project management role. Project Management (PMP or equivalent) certification preferred.
Proven experience adopting and managing to pre-defined SDLC along with ability to identify and fill methodology gaps and suggest improvements
Knowledge of BI tools and ability to evaluate and recommend optimal use to satisfy client requirements
Ability to evaluate and communicate infrastructure requirements and work with client IT to ensure environment readiness
Subject Matter Knowledge of telco (CLEC) sales, order processing and commissions
Experience within a delivery project management lead role including:
o Geographically dispersed team size > 25 including analysts, developers, testers and deployment
o Project Budget > $1m
o Total effort > 50,000 hours
Experience with staffing projections and recruiting, financial management, roll-up project reporting
Experience with client facing consulting engagements
Extensive experience within management consulting or consulting services (Big 4 preferred)
Strong executive presence and ability to interact with CxO level
Mentors team members in technology, architecture and delivery of applications
Creates a shared sense of direction and community among the teams
Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements
Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies
Ability to balance and prioritize client requests to ensure timely delivery
MUST be willing to travel extensively, up to 100%
College degree in a related area of study, with advanced degree highly preferred
A strong track record of professional success, preferably in the Consulting Services arena
Project Manager role with Telco background and Systems Integration experience that can lead a large project as part of a larger program in Comms Industry.
