Valeo Sylvania is a leader in the automotive lighting
industry and supplies advanced lighting assemblies for forward, rear,
signaling, and interior applications to the major automotive manufacturers in
the United States. The operation was founded in 1978 and is a joint venture
with 50/50 ownership between Valeo and OSRAM Sylvania. Our headquarters,
including manufacturing and R&D is located in Seymour, Indiana and allows

Design and develop
advanced illumination systems for automotive lighting products. Develop optical
design techniques and technologies.
Responsible for ensuring that the products and services
supplied meet customer and regulatory requirements from Design through Launch.
Responsible for communicating customer requirements and expectations throughout
the organization and developing systems to meet them. Utilize knowledge and
skills to provide products and services that are “World Class”. Represent the
company through extensive interface with the customer at all levels.
Responsible for working with a Program Team to develop new program quality
documentation including Control Plans, PFMEA, DFMEA, DVP&R, PPAP preparation,
audit WI and any other customer requirements. Responsible for communicating
customer concerns and taking a lead role in addressing them.
Take a lead role in understanding and applying design and
quality customer requirements to new programs.
Participate in print and design reviews.
Identify significant characteristics and develop controls to assure they
are met through design quality tools.
Interface with customer in person during on-site meetings and
reviews.
Develop applicable cosmetic
standards and gain customer approvals.
Develop SPC and test gages, including gage R&R studies.
Prepare and submit PPAP documentation.
Lead problem solving teams to address
identified issues and develop lessons learned documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical
field. Minimum of 5 years experience in the Quality field, preferably
Automotive. CQE, CRE are a plus. Must have strong interpersonal skills and have
demonstrated the ability to manage projects and teams. Must possess oral
presentation skills, oral and written communication skills, group facilitation
skills, conflict management skills and training skills. Must be detail
oriented. Must have experience and abilities in developing and launching new
programs. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Minimum of 5 years
experience in the Quality field, preferably Automotive.
