Project Scheduler (Job Number:308692)
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for all project scheduling functions, including planning, tracking, analysis and reporting across the project life cycle. Responsible for coordinating with the program teams to develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs), cost and schedule baselines, and Estimates at Completion (EACs). Work closely with program team and managers to review current project status and project future performance. Responsible for monitoring cost and schedule performance and performs related analyses. Also prepares portions of program review presentations, produces financial deliverables for both internal and external use and participates in the proposal process. Interface with members of Finance, Program Management, Contracts, Pricing, Procurement, and Accounts Receivable Department. Works independently while contributing to the team through reporting, analyzing, estimating, and auditing. Prepares written and verbal reports to program team and management regarding program performance. May provide direction and guidance to lower level personnel.
Create and/or modify the Integrated Master Schedule and any Supporting Schedules as requested by program management; create and present executive-level reports, presentations and deliverables that reflect risk and status. Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, develop contingency plans, and incorporate PERT estimates into the schedule
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in related field and 5+ years experience or equivalent experience. REQUIRED SKILLS: 4 years of experience in project scheduling; The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of the use of the automated scheduling tool, MS Project. Effective written and oral communication skills are required to work well with all levels of staff and managers. Prior experience with government contracting is a must.
