University of Nevada School of Medicine Integrated Clinical Services, Inc is accepting resumes for the position of Project Specialist within the Family Medicine Department.

This position will provide administrative support for several grant funded projects and programs that are administered through the Department of Family and Community Medicine. The Project Specialist will perform a variety of administrative duties for faculty and staff, many of which are unique to a medical clinic and academic environment.

This individual will answer phones, prepare and respond to email and face-to-face inquiries about programs and projects documenting inquiries for reporting purposes and determining eligibility. The Project Specialist will prepare for and participate in screening clinics and other program related activities including preparing mailings, mass emails, schedule clinic appointments, prepare appointment packages, prepare charts, obtain/organize appropriate supplies, verify and file screening results in patient charts, record results in databases. This individual will perform data entry of project, program and participant information in various databases as well as run routine database reports and queries. This individual will coordinate and conduct outreach and educational activities, prepare outreach materials such as informational packets, brochures, handouts, flyers, website content, etc. and document outreach activities in database.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; must have two years of general office experience, preferably in the medical field. Candidate must have a current NV driver’s license and current proof of insurance. Travel via car and plane (up to 3 – 8 times annually, in and out of state) is REQUIRED. Candidate must have reliable transportation, and be able to work weekends and evenings (after 5 PM) as needed . Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of MS Word, MS Outlook, Excel, Access, Publisher, and PowerPoint; possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills to communicate with faculty, staff, and patients; ability to identify urgency and prioritize tasks; possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage time and multi-task effectively. Candidate must have the ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism, as well as adapt to new situations and changing priorities. Candidate must have ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must have a working knowledge of general office equipment. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Position requires physical activity including but not limited to bending, stooping, repetitive motion, and lifting of up to 40-50 pounds.
