Pilot, Americas leading catastrophe adjusting team is looking for experienced property adjusters and those looking to start a career as an insurance claims adjuster to join our dedicated insurance claims inspecting team. As a Property Adjuster, you will interact with customers delivering a high level of customer service; providing information regarding any insurance claims that they may require following a catastrophic event. You will work with policyholders to assess their losses and pay for covered losses based on insurance policies in the proper amount. Our property adjuster positions are temporary and are engaged on an as needed basis. Property Adjuster (Catastrophe Insurance Claims)
Job Responsibilities


As a Property Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, analyzing and determining the extent of liability regarding property loss or damage resulting from catastrophic events while providing a high level of customer service.

Additional responsibilities of the Property Adjuster include:
  • Examining claims forms and other records to determine coverage
  • Investigating and assessing damage to property and creating or reviewing property damage estimates
  • Interviewing or corresponding with claimants, witnesses, police, physicians or other relevant parties to determine claim settlement, denial or review
  • Calculating benefit payments and approve payment of claims within a certain monetary limit

Property Adjuster (Catastrophe Insurance Claims)

Successful candidates for the Property Adjuster role are licensed as a property adjuster and those with multiple licenses will have greater opportunities for deployment. Someone who can provide outstanding customer service to insurance policy holders during times of extreme stress would be a good fit for this role.

Additional requirements of the role include:
  • Experience as an insurance claims property adjuster
  • Experience in construction, home inspection, home restoration or customer service
  • Experience with estimating software, such as Xactware, preferred
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service during stressful and challenging situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
