This position is responsible for managing complex tasks and programs in the administration of government property up to and including, acquisition, receiving, identification, records, movement, storage, inventories, reports, consumption, utilization, maintenance, disposition and project close out throughout AAI. In addition to the above responsibilities, ammunition and explosives special tooling/test equipment control, COMSEC/SAASM accountability, will also fall within the successful candidate’s domain. Support government property needs of all programs which include expediting shipments, licensing and renewals of explosives and ammunitions.

Compliance and Occupational Safety

1. Ensure program compliance within all aspects of government property which includes execution and monitoring methods/audits for functional areas in support of AAI programs and corporate objectives.

2, Support business partners in achieving and sustaining compliance to all FAR/DFAR regulations relative to property management.

4. Must support and control change management activities while working on projects.


1. Create a culture of accountability throughout the department. Grow the department’s capability through hands on coaching and mentoring of its employees.

Project/Program Management

The successful candidate will need to have an in-depth knowledge and work experience related to government program management practices. Much of the property manager’s time will be spent working with internal and external customers to ensure business goals are met. In addition, improve working relationship with governmental agencies, program management office and AAI. Planning and implementing a government property management system is required.

Financial Management

Establish annual and monthly spending plans for both expense and capital resources. Work within an accounting system that integrates property management planning and spending with the current AAI Financial system. Perform cost benefit analysis when necessary. Provide run rate analysis as well as exceptions reports on a monthly basis. A strong focus on cost reduction is a must.

Continuous Improvement

AAI has a continuous improvement philosophy which expects all of its employees to strive for excellence through the use of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tool usage. The successful candidate must generate plans on how to incorporate continuous improvement methodology into all facets of property management. Functional financial planning and goals are established based on proposed process improvements implemented throughout the company.


Bachelors degree is required.

Ten years of property management experience including five years of leadership is required.

Multi-site facilities management is a plus.

This position will require 15% national and international travel and occasional varying schedules and extended hours.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US government issued security clearance.

Working across departmental and functional lines will be an expectation of this position.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)., Non-U.S. persons selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-restricted information. , The ITAR/EAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including US Citizenship, for access to classified information.
