Atkins is currently seeking a Proposal Coordinator for our office in Austin, TX. In this role, you will work with project managers and coordinate and develop RFP compliant, responsive, competitive marketing proposals. You will ensure that opportunities are tracked appropriately and develop fundamental PowerPoint presentations and other presentation materials for client presentations. You will ensure quality in every proposal produced. Work involves the application of quality control as well as standard procedures and criteria to the coordination of proposals which are of critical importance to the firm.

Typical duties and responsibilities of this position include:

Ensures pursuits are tracked through Vision.

Prepares for and holds proposal kick-off and strategy meetings.

Coordinates proposal information with the subconsultants.

Develops organization chart with PM and team.

Ensures the proposal meets the requirements of the RFP, including identifying and obtaining signatures on all corporate forms.

Identifies and pulls resumes and project descriptions from Vision.

-

Develops the proposal using an InDesign template.

-

Coordinates all graphics through the MediaGroup.

-

Ensures that an IQR is conducted.

-

Produces and packages the proposal for delivery.

-

Coordinates and tracks the proposal to delivery.

-

Supports the presentation efforts by developing fundamental PowerPoint presentations and coordinating any leave-behind materials with the MediaGroup.

Ensures the proposal closeout process is complete.

-

Ensures that proposal submission deadlines are always achieved.

-

Understands the marketing and business development process in Vision and has a full working knowledge of Vision info centers.

Provides fundamental Vision queries.

-

Contributes updates to Teamsites and Vision.

-

Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Job Details

We are seeking local candidates within daily commuting distance of our office in Austin TX who possess the following qualifications and experience:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or related major. Without a degree, ten years of relevant experience is required in addition to appropriate knowledge and skills.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Strong grammar, spelling, composition, and proofreading abilities. Job requires detail orientation and the ability to multi-task and work under the pressure of a deadline-driven environment with a high consequence of error (which may result in the loss of considerable revenue to the firm). Computer skills required and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Deltek Vision, and other software programs.

Basic understanding of A-E and project management industry standards and disciplines. Can translate abstract ideas or narrative text into graphical concepts to illustrate concepts more effectively. Works independently, yet functions effectively as a member of a team.
