RG is currently looking for a Proposal Writer to support the proposal department in developing content in response to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), other forms of federal solicitations and commercial bids. The proposal writer will be required to understand and contribute to overall proposal development and translate complex ideas and solutions into clear and compelling proposal narratives.
RG’s service offerings include program management (including Agile), performance improvement, human capital management, enterprise architecture, and several other services that the writer will need to become increasingly familiar with in order to be successful. The individual must be able to blend appropriate elements of these offerings into a uniform, single-voiced narrative that effectively describes RG solutions, how they address customer needs, and how they benefit the customer. The individual must also be able to incorporate win themes into these technical solutions and other proposal components, incorporating compelling language that communicates the benefits of our solution. Other duties may include writing for marketing and sales collaterals, and facilitating brainstorming sessions to build and design winning solutions.
Primary Duties include:
Write and edit responses to RFPs and Task Orders.
Interview subject matter experts for technical input and acquire specific subject knowledge (expertise in selected RG service offerings).
Work with capture teams to integrate customer needs and requirements into response documents
Review and analyze solicitation documents to help determine customer requirements
Conduct quality review of materials to meet requirements and expectations.
Participate in knowledge management of past performance, artifacts, qualifications, and other related documents through a SharePoint content management system.
Senior Specialists are exempt resources who must possess general business operating principles, an understanding of group dynamics and group processes, and generic technical knowledge as applies to current work assignments.
Ability to understand, synthesize, and translate technical ideas into clearly understood written communications.
Ability to style one’s writing to, as well as edit other’s writing into a unified style, tone, and voice.
Strong analytical, planning, and research skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and demanding timeframes.
Demonstrated expertise in setting and meeting objectives and timeframes.
BA/BS Degree in Business, Journalism, English, or related field
5+ years of professional writing experience
2+ years of writing experience responding to federal solicitations
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and PowerPoint
Must be highly proficient in MS Word, able to format and manipulate large, complex documents; this would include managing styles, graphics, tables, captions, tables of figures, etc.
Experience with the Shipley process a plus
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
