Job Duties:
Responsible for accurately creating, maintaining and balancing all county protest records, receipts and refunds. These duties include training, providing technical assistance, and being a back up for Lead Clerks and/or Administrators as needed, including assisting taxpayers, attorneys and property tax representatives in person, by phone or correspondence with all matters involving property tax and protested tax processes.
Responsible for planning, coordinating and processing of large quantities of paperwork in compliance with deadlines established by the State Tax Commission, state and federal statues, the courts and other county offices.
Handles other duties as assigned including special projects
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a High School diploma/GED,
Two years of college and/or two years of general clerical work experience and skill in the use of Excel Spreadsheets.
Must pass the clerical and Excel exams. Submit to/pass post offer drug screen test/background check. Non-smokers preferred. BARGAINING UNIT POSITION.
