Summary:
Neighborhood Health Plan (NHP), located in Boston, is currently seeking an experienced, highly skilled Provider Education & Training Manager . This person is responsible for the evaluation of complex business needs to develop provider education training programs, educational resource materials, and under direction of the Director of Provider Relations, manage the development and implementation of network notifications and communication plans. S/he will lead planning workgroups, develop messaging, and implement education tactics that achieve business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:
Provider Education
Help improve provider satisfaction and advancing provider strategies through well-written and successfully executed training programs, resource tools and communications’ projects.
Manage the development and distribution of provider educational content to the News Center, Provider Newsletter/Bulletins, and Provider Education & Resource Page.
Work with Corporate Communications and IT to manage maintenance of content on the public provider website.
Develop and generate reporting of online survey’s to support collection of data, provider feedback, and information to support company initiatives.
Consult with internal departments i.e. Claims, Customer Service Center etc. on provider education opportunities.
Diagnose communication needs based on provider intelligence provided by Provider Relations team and leadership.
Develop content for network notifications announcing company initiatives and payment policy updates.
Create Communication Plan documents designed to inform internal associates of material provider notifications and supportive resource tools.

Provider Training
Work directly with leadership team and staff to designs complex training programs for a variety of settings, including but not limited to large audience, classroom, on site, and computer-based training.
Craft messages, presentations, and training modules for communication to internal and external audiences.
When necessary develop project plans, class scheduling, training materials, course design, and communication planning.
Create and maintain quarterly provider office staff training designed to educate providers on important changes impacting the network i.e. new products and benefit designs, policy and procedure changes etc.
Determine criteria, develop curriculum, and prepare presentations for provider webinar trainings.
Develop online Provider Education series focused on how more effectively to do business with NHP.
Measure effectiveness of provider education and training programs and other network communications projects using satisfaction surveys, audits, and/or focus groups.
Other
Develop and coordinate resources for provider engagement outreach projects conducted by Provider Relations Representative.
Oversee maintenance and posting of workflow, resource tools etc. to the Provider Relations intranet site.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master’s degree in English, Communications, or Health Care related field strongly preferred.
Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and oral communications skills.
Understanding of provider practice patterns, provider administrative practices, reimbursement methodologies, medical terminology and health care policy and procedure.
Experience in health care industry or insurance practices.
Strong team player.
Knowledge of e-learning and mobile learning technology.
Knowledge of survey and messaging software i.e. Survey Monkey, Constant Contact etc.
Knowledge of desktop publishing, design, and web-based communications a plus.
Proficiency in MSOffice suite, specifically PowerPoint required.
Proficiency with Learning Management Systems a plus.
