This position is under the supervision of the Medical Director and is responsible for providing psychiatric assessments and psychotropic medication treatment for recipients referred. This position works in cooperation with Outpatient Services Clinicians, Nurses, and other Professionals, and the Person Centered Plan. This position will consult and work with Agency wide quality improvement groups, review and sign treatment and service plans, consult and refer to community health care providers as needed, participate in case conferences, and share medical/psychiatric knowledge with staff to improve recipient care. This position will follow accepted standards for medical practice and participate in behavioral management committee and quality assurance programs as assigned.
- Medical School degree and a completed residency in Psychiatry with a license to practice Medicine in the State of Michigan as a Medical Doctor, along with being Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Preference will be given to those with a demonstrated compatibility and cooperation with interdisciplinary teams and experience and flexibility consulting with health providers at many levels and in different community settings.
