PA licensure as psychologist
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Ph.D. in psychology from program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). APA approved internship training. Experience and training in pediatric psychology and medical settings. License or license eligible.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of psychological intervention approaches. Knowledge of research deisgn and implementation. Interpersonal skills
All CHOP employees who work in a patient building or who provide patient care are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption
They psychologist will participate in ongoing clinical trials and initiate new research projects and participation on ongoing clinical trials related to increased quality of life of children and families seen by the CHOP Cancer Center. The psychologist will provide assessment and treatment as a member of the oncology psychology team. The psychologist will provide training and consultation to staff around issues related to the assessment and psychological treatment of children and adolescents with cancer, focusing on childhood brain tumors. Supervision of psychology practica students, interns and postdoctoral fellows on research and clinical activity is also provided.
