The School Psychologist’s general duties include developing and overseeing intensive home-based ABA programs for children with autism (including curriculum development and on-going instructional modification), designing and conducting parent education and staff training programs, conducting functional behavior assessments/functional analyses as needed, developing and implementing behavior intervention plans, conducting psychological evaluations and providing mandated services to students. In addition, the school psychologist may provide consultation, within or outside the agency, to assist and support others in the above tasks.
Masters Degree in School Psychology, minimum 1 year experience with Autism, Applied Behavior Analysis, Developmental Disabilities and/or severe challenging behaviors;
Maintains certification as a school psychologist.
Maintains membership in one or more professional organizations related to school psychology, ABA, autism or early childhood education.
Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst preferred.
