Provide direct counseling services to clients and participants in the training and supervision of practicum students and pre-doctoral interns. Provide consultation and outreach to students and campus groups. Provide after-hours on-call emergency consultation. Student Affairs is committed to effective, meaningful assessment of all programs and services. Position will be responsible and held accountable for the gathering, interpreting and analyzing of data for the purpose of continuous improvement.
Provide initial screenings/intakes/assessment; provide individual, group and couples counseling.
Provide crisis intervention and after-hours emergency on-call coverage.
Provide outreach and consultation to campus community.
Supervise and train graduate-level practicum students and pre-doctoral interns.
Establish liaisons with various campus organizations/groups.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
PhD in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program
Three to five years counseling experience, to include experience providing counseling services within a counseling center setting; providing and developing outreach programming, in consultation, with supervising intern and practicum students, in intern and practicum training
Must possess or be able to obtain state of Georgia license within one year.
To coordinate and implement educational programming and outreach to students, faculty, and staff in the area of suicide education and prevention. To coordinate the Center’s crisis response plan and develop and coordinate proactive measures in anticipation of services needed curing a campus critical incident.
Impact & Influence:
This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Counseling Center staff, Office of the Dean of Students, students, faculty, staff and parents. This position will typically advise and counsel: students, faculty, staff. This position will supervise practicum students and interns.
