The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Psychologist. Duties include provide clinical psychological services to individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS. Services will include mental health screenings, psychological assessments, individual, group and family therapy. Accountabilities include providing mental health screenings and conduct brief psychological interventions for individuals living with HIV/AIDS in primary care clinics. Provide psychological assessments of HIV positive patients presenting for outpatient mental health services at The Healing Place.

Provide mental health services, including psychological assessment, psychological testing, individual, family, and group therapy, pill swallowing, adherence intervention, relaxation training, parenting and behavioral management to HIV positive patients. Provide supervision for post-doctoral psychology fellows. Attend multidisciplinary team staffing at The Healing Place to present cases and make treatment recommendations. Attend multidisciplinary team meetings with the Special Immunology team to coordinate mental health services for individuals living with HIV.

Provide continuing education and training workshops for providers and community agencies. Participate in psycho-educational programs for persons living with HIV. Identify patients requiring psychiatric evaluation and initiate the referral for The Healing Place. Assist in the development of culturally sensitive mental health services for Creole speaking patients.

Doctoral Degree and a valid State of Florida Licensed Psychologist required. One year experience working with individuals living with HIV preferred. Clinical experience working with children, adolescents and families preferred. Experience in behavior medicine preferred. Prior experience working with interdisciplinary teams and excellent communication skills, verbal and written are required. Any appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience will be considered.
