This position is located in the National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP), Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention (DHAP), Prevention Program Branch (PPB) located in Atlanta, Georgia.

The incumbent serves as a public health analyst and provides consultative services to the most difficult programs or projects in developing, monitor, implementing, and evaluating current or projected complex, interrelated public health programs involving governmental and non-governmental organizations from multiple sectors of the community, state, and national levels. Analyze existing or proposed systems, strategies, services, or other health-related matters for long rang implementation and administration of the public health program. Prepare directive, issuance, memoranda, policy statement, and legislative proposals to introduce new initiatives and to recommend effective operations consistent with overall program objectives. Coordinate activities and negotiate agreements that have far-reaching impact. Develop and apply new or revised program methods, organizational structures, and technologies to carry out program objectives.

GS-12: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph.

Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience planning, developing and implementing public health prevention programs in collaboration with local, state, and other Federal governments.

GS-13: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph.

Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience providing guidance and assistance in the implementation and evaluation of a state, local or federal public health prevention programs related to infectious diseases.

Conditions of Employment:
