Responsibilities:
As a member of the Liberty Advancement Team, this
position assists in providing a positive organizational image to the general
public and is primarily responsible for the coordination of public relations and
the activities related to building a digital culture at Liberty Lutheran.

Conduct interviews with clients, residents, families and donors and write articles for Liberty publications and digital media.

Responsible for researching relevant information for the blog, soliciting blog writers, and coordinating all social media activities including daily postings.

Develop content calendars for print newsletters and online blogs.

Ascertain the best content for all forms of social media.

Write and edit copy and coordinate the schedule for all organizational print and e-
newsletters.

Coordinate all photography related to publications and video interviews and filming.

Support and protect the brand (s) by making sure that positive, consistent messaging
and visual identity is maintained in all printed materials.

Assist with the copy writing, editing and proofing of articles and marketing
materials.

Write press releases, Public Service Announcements (PSA’s) and media advisories and
distribute them to appropriate media.

Regularly update the media database.

Coordinate and represent Liberty at Public Relations, fundraising and donor recognition events

Write and distribute company announcements and communicate all relevant media coverage, public relations and marketing activities to social media coordinator for web site listings.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience
BA in Communications or related field
Experienced as a blog writor and web writer
Knowledge regarding Public Relations etiquette
Demonstrated experience in interviewing and writing
Skills and Abilities
Excellent writing and speaking skills
Strond communication skills
Self motivated, creative and willing to learn
Positive and up-beat - uses oportunity" language
Creative and has the ability to work in a team
Understands the importance of knowing your customer
Excellent interviewing skills - able to listen and ask appropraie skills
