The Public Relations manager will work closely with Digital Energy’s Head of Communications in directing and coordinating all of the business’ PR activities. In this role, you will conceptualize, support and implement communication initiatives to create awareness about Digital Energy’s technology applications, influence external stakeholders such as customers and policymakers through integrated media relations strategies.

Essential Responsibilities
The mission of the PR Manager is to drive external media outreach, advance Digital Energy’s position in the market, support key business goals, and protect the reputation of the business. In addition, you will:
  • Design, develop and execute communications strategies for Digital Energy
  • Be responsible for product and technology positioning, identify thought leadership opportunities and manage crisis communications activities
  • Serve as a spokesperson on key initiatives, respond to media inquiries, and assist in shaping responses to complex media requests
  • Monitor industry news about Digital Energy and its competitors; identify emerging public relations opportunities
  • Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with media
  • Seek out strategic speaking and conference opportunities for senior management to enhance executive visibility
  • Work closely with GE Corporate Communications to maximize investor awareness of Digital Energy’s performance
  • Coordinate with Public Affairs and Government Relations teams to position Digital Energy as a thought leader in key policy areas
  • Provide counsel to business units in times of crisis and help them reach a positive outcome
  • Explore and develop social media outreach strategies

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, PR, English, Journalism, or Business
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Media Relations, Corporate Communications and/or PR Agency

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of senior management and employee population
  • Ability to be a self-starter and manage a number of programs / projects simultaneously
  • Hands-on as well as strategic
  • Team player that can lead by example, with high accountability for his / her actions
  • Proven ability to develop and implement communications strategies for PR campaigns
  • Experience as company spokesperson
  • Professional experience with a major multinational company and/or PR agency with Fortune 500 clients
  • Ability to conceptualize, structure, write and pitch compelling stories for wide range of audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality of work
  • Excellent business acumen and executive presence
