We are seeking a Public Relations Manager for our corporate headquarters located in Dallas. This role provides strategic management of all US public & communication affairs for the Company including MV Transportation, Reliant and TMSUK. This individual will provide broad public affairs expertise in support of a variety of community relations, initiatives that support corporate and business unit’s objectives and strengthen the Company's corporate reputation throughout communities across the US system.
Specific Accountabilities include:
Manage the development and execution of a strategic media relations plan for all U.S. business units that assures effective communication with community, business, industry clients, local and State Government officials and the news media.
Oversee the implementation of the Company's community relations, branding which enhances each U.S. Business units and company profile. Helps define strategic plan and growth initiatives and image.
Provide planning and strategic counsel to corporate senior management and for key corporate business initiatives and projects, to ensure consistency of messages, quality of communications, and appropriate brand use.
Develop and consistently evaluate the Company's current public awareness program to ensure a best in class approach.
Develop relationships with clients, government officials to build positive relationships on behalf of MV Transportation.
Oversees public engagement strategies which will enhance company image and position by developing and overseeing promotion, communications and public outreach initiatives.
Maintain extensive contact with the state, federal and local government officials, high-level departmental executives, private entities, media and the public.
Works closely with Management and client Federal and State Government to ensure Public strategies are aligned and well coordinated to support our collective business goals.
Contract development and oversight :
Directing and establishing objectives; clarifying roles and responsibilities through individual performance plans; monitoring and measuring performance against goals; evaluating results and making necessary adjustments to meet deadlines.
Developing, implementing and monitoring programs and projects to meet the needs and requirements of internal and external customers.
Speaking to present images and ideas in a clear, concise, organized and interesting manner to optimize audience understanding and keep the group focused.
Public relations and customer service techniques for maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
Oversees and provides leadership in building project-specific relationships with the media, public and local, state and federal industry officials.
Collaborates with Public Involvement office and outreach teams in building community relationships.
Administers outside vendor contract management.
Possess 3+ years’ experience in a PR agency coupled with in house corporate Marketing/PR environment in the state of Texas
Considerable knowledge and experience working in an interactive communications environment; managing a communication function for a large company.
Knowledge of regional and national politics as they pertain to the business. General knowledge of passenger, mass transit and mobility management is a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; PC skills; negotiation skills; persuasion skills.
Ability to create and manage effective marketing and communications programs tailored to a wide variety of audiences
Ability to effectively represent company before the media, Boards, city councils, and other local, regional, state and federal agencies as well as in public meetings with local citizens.
Ability to build collaborative relationships and gain consensus from diverse groups with varying agendas, clients including senior elected officials, and the general public.
Ability to promote the organization, create branding, make critical decisions, manage conflict, promote organizational alignment, build relationships, monitor and understand the environment.
Ability to: perform under tight deadlines and fast response conditions; manage controversial and sensitive assignments; write speeches, to make presentations, and to edit press releases and create internal new letter.
Plan, manage, execute and monitor the marketing communications and advertising to ensure compliance towards correct and uniform messaging and positioning for the Company .
Possess 7+ years’ experience in a PR agency coupled with in house corporate Marketing/PR environment.
Must have the ability to plan, organize, & effectively present ideas/concepts to groups.
Possess the ability to assimilate information from a variety of sources, analyze information, & recommend course of action to be taken.
Possess ability to establish/maintain effective working & public relations.
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Journalism required.

Experience in a PR agency coupled with 7+ years in a large multi-site corporate company.
Experience in coordinating/managing the policy and communications functions within organizations, implementing and managing an organization's internal and external communications strategies.
Experience working with senior management and serving as a key spokesperson.
Experience writing and editing corporate brand and press materials
