Public Relations Specialist (PT)
This position is for an ambitious self-starter who takes pride and finds satisfaction in being extremely organized, can thrive in the midst of a flurry of activities, and can be flexible approaching ever-changing priorities. We are looking for an individual who has excellent written and verbal skills and can juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines. A can-do attitude and flexibility to help as needed are a must! The Public Relations Specialist will provide support across the organization with the goal of generating positive editorial coverage for the various brands under Art.com through media relations, conferences, events and influencer programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide all aspects of general public relations support and project management for multiple campaigns for Art.com, as well as AllPosters.com and ArtistRising.com
  • Work with multiple US and International PR agencies and in-house merchandising partners to manage processing of image and product sample requests for press use
  • Organize and coordinate collection and distribution of marketing assets (screenshots, product images, etc.) to key press outlets and PR agencies in USA and Europe
  • Work with PR Director on social media and viral programs (need to understand where our ownership of social lies)
  • Prepare and coordinate press tours, press events, press kits and mailings
  • Manage special requests for logos, charitable donations, event sponsorships
  • Assist with event planning and execution, speaking opportunities and conferences
  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly press clip reports
  • Creation of basic pitch letters/emails and press releases
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree (PR or Communications preferred)
  • 2-5 years of public relations experience (agency and/or in-house)
  • Skilled with Outlook calendaring, Word tracking edits, Power Point and Excel
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (writing/plan samples required)
  • Exceptional ability to represent the communications department and company's passion, purpose and people to key constituents
  • Knowledge of social media channels
  • Solid understanding of consumer branding/knowledge of home decor market is a plus
  • International experience a plus
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change
